Recently, while talking with a friend, she mentioned how disappointed she was that she hasn't received any thank you notes for a few child birthday parties she has been to. We often forget, during our hectic schedules, to send our friends and loved ones a proper thank you note in appreciation of a gift, advice, or other memorable action. This becomes more evident for those who have children. I have a few friends who have instilled upon their children to send thank you notes regardless of how small the gift or action was.
I was recently asked to create a boy themed thank you card for a woman who has a very young son. I thought this was a brilliant idea and was super excited to get creating! The colors I used, Bermuda Bay and Certainly Celery may not be typical boy colors but I thought they went together perfectly.
These 'Choo Choo' cards were made out of 3"x3" Bermuda Bay card stock. I placed a 3" x 2 1/2" piece Whisper White card stock on the front in order for me to stamp the train image from the 'Choo Choo' Stampin' Up! stamp set. I used Certainly Celery, Basic Grey, and Bashful Blue ink for the image. A simple ribbon treatment with Bermuda Bay Polka Dot ribbon and a white button finish the front of the card perfectly. The inside of the card was super easy to create - all I needed was my computer and Whisper White card stock. The inside of the card provides a simple and easy way to document the gift, to whom the card needs to go to, and who the card is from. This is very easy for a child to fill out on their own.
